>> Why should we lock the courtroom door on this particular class of plaintiffs when we have not done so for so many other putative classes of injured parties? <<

Why should we be stoooooopid, going forward, when we've been stooooooopid, in the past?

Because, at some point, sane minds must prevail over those of the ambulance chasers.

Or we can keep the large price premium that is built into medicines, that which is EXPECTED to be shared with trial lawyers.

The system is perfect, as is, for attorneys. No? "Keep pharmaceuticals at those absurd margins, so we can get our share. In the name of those poor, Injured Parties, of course!!!!!!"

Pharmaceuticals create wealth for (1) company executives and management, (2) trial lawyers, and (3) those Injured Parties of yours.

They create poverty for many of those who simply need effective medicines.

You want a field day for attorneys? Get rid of FDA. Otherwise, let's cut down on the cost of medicines. We can start by eliminating the ambulance chasers.
