at 1.25x as fast would push a lot of people (those who like the UNIX aspect of OSX) over the edge, despite the dock. Despite the dock? I think most UNIX users who don't like the dock are sophisticated enough to find the Dock Preferences, and just make it go away. It's not rocket science. So the dock's not really an issue either way, except for a few curmudgeons who are just desperate for something to complain about because their 1990's machines don't have good enough graphic acceleration to run Quartz Extreme.
