Time is the rag that praised Summers, Rubin, Greenspan as the men that saved the world( after the SEA melt) when the reality is they facilitated the greatest transfer of wealth in history. mike

Sounds more like a name recognition factor to me. Most folks have barely heard of any of the others except Lieberman (and that's usually enough to turn them off<g>). Time liberal? Old man Luce must be spinning in his grave.<g>

Tip, Poor Henry Luce and his neo-Fascist wife, Clair Booth Luce, are turning in their graves at that Liberal comment about their flagship rag. But it is definitely true that they have moved more to the left of center since their right wing nutburger days of the 40s and 50s. US Nukes and Swirled Report picked up the right wing banner when Time dropped it. I still remember their charts in the 60s showing how the number of US missiles compared to Russian missiles. There would be this foot high Russian missile next to a two inch high US missile. When you read the numbers at the bottom, you soon realized that the charts were not drawn to scale. They were drawn to scare. <VBG> But the media is so right wing now that it is fun to have a liberal rag out there. My own feeling is that it is the Republicans spreading the Hillary rumors, trying to stampede their rank and file to kick in more contributions.
