Even if the problem is "them", it behooves us to be clever enough to solve it without violence. There are a lot of "them", and we can't be everywhere. Our population does not have a stomach for war. The perception of many in the ME is that we favor Israel; that we had sided with "the enemy". Take that away, and you've kicked the stool out from underneath many of the zealots in the ME. IMO
