I believe that the mideast countries would have a jubilant celebration if the US stopped supporting Israel. The celebration would be based on the fact that they got the US to back down by flying a couple of airplanes into a couple of buildings and killing a few thousand of our people. I believe that they would see it as appeasement as well as a sign of weakness. I believe that it would be an open invitation to the rest of the world to use terrorism to get what they want from the US. Even if we did stop supporting Israel, they would still have numerous other issues with us from military in SA to our culture corrupting theirs. IMO, support for Israel is just another item that they can use as an excuse to divert the attention of the masses (their own) away from the crimes that their leaders are perpetrating against their own people.
