I've enjoyed email debates with Lyn Nofzinger, Reagan's guy. Nice to have a really intelligent Republican to debate with. I'm asking him to steer his party back to no-corruption, common sense, less relgious right territory where it belongs. I've quizzed him about the phony energy crisis of 2000-2001 and whether it was arranged as a political ploy (and big ripoff). His answer was "I wouldn't put it past them". He is a no BS guy I respect. I used to respect Cheney too but the guy lied through his teeth to us so many times. Why he had to go into hiding. Remember "we need 1300 new power plants right away"? Gee, who was he trying to help there? Who contributed money to him? Same people. And Enron. Oh boy. My parents live in Houston and that was Bush-Cheney central. They ran part of the campaign out of the Enron offices. Ralph Reed was hired as an "energy consultant". And there is tons of stolen money in the Cayman Islands. John Kerry has pledged to go after those tax havens. Costs us tens of billions a year at least. The phony energy crisis cost us close to 100 billion, plus it got the B-C in. Clever but insidious. And very harmful to the environment. Our environment is being sold away on us. The very air we breathe.
