cfoe- Thanks for sharing with us your real world/ real time experiences at a real U.S.A. 3G carrier.

"I said to the manager that it looked like kids were crazy over the...... camera phones .....and he said they were. It looks like these are going to be big, big items."<<<

It is really difficult for me to understand how these supposedly wise people and experts in their field (professor Clayton Christensen, Friedlander, most wireless industry "analysts") failed to see the robust demand and acceptance of camera phones by the average consumer just a few months ago. Especially so when, as Dwight Martin pointed out in his Microvision post and the user experiences in Korea and Japan revealed such acceptance much earlier.

How is the average investor or even average mutual fund portfolio manager expected to understand the potential of companies such as Qualcomm when the "experts" in the field can't envision the happenings in their area of expertise six months into the future (or even recognize what's currently happening, or what's happened 6 months prior)?

Thank goodness for SI and the Qualcomm thread posters!!!!!
