One bright spot about this anti-smoking movement is that it's converting some liberals. Christopher Hitchins wrote that it was this issue that made him turn his back on liberalism.

I quit in 87 but took it back up again last year. Never claimed to be a genius...definitely a different attitude toward smokers out there now.
