this present issue of FA is pretty Hawkish. Guess the staff wants to get on the winning side of this issue. ahem Balancing the Ajami and Doran articles in the lead package are the Betts and Waterbury articles, which are anything but hawkish. There are lots of possible reasons for such coverage. The staff could be hedging their bets. They could be divided internally. Or perhaps they just try to present the best that can be thought and said on all sides of important issues... tb@takeyourpick.com
