Steve, you hit on some interesting points and gold bugs are not above touting disaster scenarios. My question would be, if they were in trouble the last time the yellar dog went to $330, surely they would have covered much if not all of their risk on the recent downturn to $309. There was certainly plenty of supply from the public at that point. However, I may be giving them credit for brains they haven't shown in their banking side. <g>

I am short JPM.
My view is what you say has some merit.
There are probably try to dig themselves out now.
However, read their emails in the news today.
Those show their fraud involving Enron loans.
