IMO, Just because some refuse to "see things the way others see them" doesn't mean that the box they chose to store all of their beliefs in are any stronger or carry any more weight than any other box one might find ones self inside. We ALL live inside one box or another. We ALL think our box is the right "box."

I do agree that the best course for mankind is to accept that we all have different perceptions, and that to engage in long, serious dialogue is the clearest path to understanding. It really is too bad that most of us are stuck and unwilling to come out of our own boxes with eyes wide open. But.......I am very proud of my convictions. I do understand who the enemy is, and with the very most violent of my enemies, I feel that we are beyond talking.

I'm not saying that people in public office aren't allowed to make stupid remarks. It is when one of my state representatives makes the kind of remarks that Ms. Murray did that I demand proof of her allegations, and I will be critical. Her beliefs do not reflect mine in any way, shape or form, and as I stated in an earlier post:

Message 18363380

I find them embarrassing and an inaccurate description of reality.

She owes her constituents, and the American people including the loved ones of those lost on 9/11 an explanation.

Until she does explain herself, her outrageous remarks remain just that..outrageous.

Patty needs to come out of her box for a serious chat.
