>>but needs to lose his "punk ass" image.

If Shockey keeps up the good work and gets even better then he deserves that image! :^)

I put WInslow in a different grouping. He was a WR in a TE's body. SHockey is the perfect honky TE.

i saw him pancake one fellow this week, he has the physical strength to be a blocking machine. No question Shockey is best TE to hit the NFL since those that you have named(and i add John Mackey).
To be selected as an all-pro by his peers in his rookie season quite an honor.
As an Eagles fan, i realize i will be worrying about Shockey for years to come.
Tampa Bay defeat today i actually think will make it harder for Giants to beat us on Saturday. We have the bye in hand, so we will be a little looser, but aggressive as hell--heck we would love to deny the Giants the playoffs.
The key to game i think is simple, pressure Collins, bring on the heat.
It will be up to the Giants offensive line in order for Giants to win, imo.
But i feel we need do it with basically a four man rush.
I think Giants have the personnel to burn us if we over do blitzing.
Plus Feeley needs to avoid interceptions the best he can.

>>Shockey needs to block at bit better to truly be compared to Bavaro.<<

I agree with that. One of Bavaro's greatest plays as a Giant was on a 3rd and goal from the 3 where he laid out three defenders to allow the running back to stroll in for the score.
