I can't remember where I heard it, but there was discussion over the weekend about the possibility of Renquist quitting & being replaced by the current White House counsel, who is hispanic.

The point was made that the only minorities on the Court would have both been appointed by Republicans. Further, never in the nation's history have African Americans occupied such important positions as in this administration.

It is difficult for me to understand how minorities can complain, since this is clearly showing that minorities CAN succeed without handouts, quotas, and Affirmative Action. To me, this seems like a major step forward for African Americans, yet the liberals see it as nothing. Strange.
