Doug Noland at Prudent Bear has been writing about a huge mortgage credit bubble for many months. If (when?) this bursts, the debt problems we have seen to date could be mild by comparison.

Unfortunately I think over the next few years the budget deficit and debt will become extremely problematical. We haven't heard much about it over the last few years, ostensibly because it hasn't been growing by leaps and bounds.
