Me to am alarmed about the little importance the world gives to the Venezuelan Situation, Venezuela has no Nukes, but if Chavez gets his way he will stay and help the Castro, Sadam, Kadaffi and the Anti American camp, and will use the Oil for their purposes, on the other hand Most of the Venezuelan society is pro Democracy and pro American, If today you hold a poll regarding the Utopian possibility of being one more state of the USA, more then 30 , 35 % would go for it.

Poland and Venezuela are very similar in the way they fought for democracy, at least in the Strikes and lockouts. L. Walesa was the hero there. in our case is a another syndicalist by the name of Carlos Ortega.

Poland, Hungary and Checoslovaquia also knew Freedom before 1939 once you have the taste of it you will always try to keep it. sorry for the 56 Uprising in Hungary and the 1968 one in Checoslovaquia didn't succeed then.

The case of China is Different they never knew a Democracy but IMO they will get one. a political ideology like communism can get reverted, But in the case of ME I don't see in the near future any real democracy, They never had one, they are acustomed to the RULER, be it a King or a Dictator and worst of all the Religions teaching is embedded in them and is anti democracy's.
