It raised his popularity, which had played a better hand in the countries economic policies, he could have easily rode it into a re-election. Even with a sorry economy, if he could have controlled the timing of the war, he could have easily won re-election. Jr. know that, which is why the aces up his sleeve are Iraq, Iran, N. korea. Although it's starting to look like N.Korea insists on screwing up his timing. Keep your eyes open and just see how it plays out.
