I agreed with what you posted in response to my post, but not with what you posted that caused me to respond.

The conversation was about Patty Murray's comments. You replied to someone who complained about the comments saying "Conservatives really can't tolerate freedom of speech......too messy and confusing for you, huh?" My point was that the complaints have nothing to do with freedom of speech and I gave Lott as an example. The fact that people complained about what he said and even the fact that the Republicans in the Senate decided that they didn't want him as their leader any more, doesn't mean his freedom of speech has been removed.

You responded with "Criticizing someone else's comments is perfectly legal under freedom of speech." Which of course was my point. You can criticize Bush, Lott or Patty Murray and it isn't an abuse of their freedom of speech. In fact the constitutional protection of your right to freedom of speech protects your right to make such criticisms.
