Last week Kevin was not allowed to go to the gym on Tuesday night with Mike, because he does not listen. So Kevin had to go with me, while I took Emily to dance class. He pitched a fit almost the entire time. At one point he told me, "I am ignoring you." Which you can imagine did not go over to well with me.

This week again he had to go with me. But I had made him a deal, that if he was on his good behavior, he could go play at the gym with Michael and Brian after we got back into town. We dropped Emily off at dance class, and went to run an errand. Kevin was being an angel. So I said to him, that I really liked how he was acting this week, as compared to how he was the week before. That it was so much more enjoyable when he was talking kindly as opposed to when he was being mean and nasty. Then I pushed the limit, I ask him, which way he liked his behavior better? <dumb question, i know>

He stopped for a about a minute. I knew by the silence EXACTLY what he was thinking. I could see the evil grin on his face. But the silence told me that he knew if he answered the way he was thinking, it would not be a good thing. So after a few more minutes he said, "Mom, this answer is going to be a joke." He made a really mean face and said, "I like it better when I am mean and nasty!!" Then he grinned, and again said, "Mom, that answer was only a joke." Then he laughed some more.
