Salim, that message you sent from the "palestinian negotiation team" is after-the-fact propaganda. Comparing the proposal to a prison if for consumption by the masses... not a real explanation of anything. The Palestinian people need to hold their leaders accountable, select and promote those ones who succeed, and demote those who fail to make any progress. The last few years of intifada 2 has weakened a very strong position that had been won in intifada 1. If you choose to ignore this fact it is only you and your cause that suffers.
