Not at all Steve, principles are usually proven to be good or bad by taking them to limits, 0 or infinity. This is a mainstay in science and employed through the use of calculus. Ken keeps asking to extend the unemployment benefits for those laid off, so I say why not make it a life time benefit for laid off workers? Ponder the question and the impact, not whether it would really happen or not.

So Steve do you support providing lifetime benefits to laid off employees?

Jim

Actually this really isn't "ad absurdum" ( I love it when liberals try to talk sophisticated, I bet you're real fun at a party Steve). 8 years ago we never heard of prescription drug program, now we want to give life time benefits to people when they turn 65. Lets give laid-off workers life time unemployment benefits, why stop at adding 13 weeks. Do you support that proposal?
