One of my amish neighbors' boys called Christmas eve night and wanted me to go tell his folks he was going to be late -- we already had foot of snow on the ground. Apparently his foreman wasn't smart enough to knock off early and leave the "city," so they were having some slow going. I didn't want to get the truck out, so I told him I'd walk the 1/2 mile and tell them. Had a nice visit and got a nice buggy ride back to our place in the snow -- first time I'd had a ride with my neighbors and them "driving." It was worth the walk.

Hope you and yours had a great holiday. Back to work tomorrow. Hope yours is longer than mine, too.

Merry Christmas to you, Allan.

Sounds like a fine night for walking down there, what with 60-90 km winds -- hope you got back up the hill ok. <g>

Best,
Terry

Merry Christmas AA! Hard to remember what that feels like, just coming in from a 1/2 mile swim on a 80 degree eveing. Best wishes to you!

Merry Christmas to you as well, and to all on the thread. It's time for reflection and giving thanks, and I am thankful for you all and the folks over on the mother thread. Your clear, independent thought has helped me not only preserve my wealth but even grow it despite the challenging financial environment.

Thanks again to all!

Merry Christmas and have a Wonderful New Year!
