Are you suggesting that the main motivation of US policy makers is to gain Kudos?

I would assume that the US would do whatever is "right" according to its own principles and benefits. Not according to whether or not it gains applause from the Arabs.

In this light, I still believe the US should intervene in the Isr/Pal problem and impose a solution to both sides, regardless of whether or not it will win kudos.
