George, Kudlow is one of my favorite punching bags. In all honesty, of his three careers, I think the political ranks first, broadcasting second and economics third. He is pushing Surprise Side Economics even after it was a huge failure the first time it was foisted on America. We were lucky that time, as we elected a grownup named George Bush who took his medicine and fixed many of the excesses. Unfortunately, this time around, no grownup looms on either the Republican or the Democratic side, even though we have a guy with the same name in The White House.

To be fair, I worry more about the military goofiness than the economic flapdoodle. A conservative commentator, Bob Novak, is opposed to an Iraq War and I remember a comment he made during the first such engagement: "War isn't like playing beanbag." When people get killed, on either side, they pretty much stay that way. I truly hope we have convincing evidence that Saddam is a major threat to American interests. Nobody has presented any such evidence, so far. He's a pretty nasty character and the world would be better off in his absence. But if that were the case, I know several Hollywood actors who should have war declared on them. <g>

Iraqi War will join the car sector in leading into recession
this will occur by springtime
higher energy prices are the opposite of what these clowns promise
but they alibied by claiming higher gasoline prices are the temporary cost of waging this necessary war
bullshit
higher prices will become the norm, as tensions remain nearly permanent, and peaceful outcomes wax impossible

we vastly underestimate our Islamic adversaries
they are fierce and brave
so what if they dont watch CNBC?
so what if they dont idolize Michael Jordan?
so what if they dont lift their living standard via MasterCard?

these are not laudible American qualities
yet we look down on these people
I expect the Iraqi Conflict will unseat the Faud Ruling Family in Saudi Arabia
as collateral damage
factor that into the crude oil price equation
