Have you seen any active Civil Defense training, or even awareness of where water and first aid items might be stored in your communities there?

There is some going on in the area, mainly through "Citizen Corps" programs which have yet to receive official funding in the budget..

I personally would not advise anyone storing more than a couple of gallons of water.. Better to buy a water purifier (Katadyn.. etc) and spare filters.

Overall, there are not a lot of overt signs of increased preparedness, except for MPs patrolling the Pentagon and increased police presence.

But that's only the publicly viewable signs..
