It is entirely possible you are either being very naive or you are in a state of denial. Were you observant enough to be sure that nothing was swept under the carpet? However, it could well be you are exceptionally fortunate to be in an area where everything is done aboveboard. But an exception or two do not negate what is generally true. The truth hurts, doesn't it? Since 1984 final examinations have again become compulsory for grade 12 students in several Canadian provinces. Compulsory examinations returned to Ontario in 1996/97 (if I'm not mistaken) but the teachers there voted against them in the following year. Result: no more compulsory exams for graduating students. In Canada-wide written tests in math and science conducted several years ago, Ontario students performed poorly compared to students in Alberta and B.C. What a disappointment and a crying shame. Never before has the standard of education in Ontario (supposedly the leading province in Canada) gone down so much. To be sure, there's something rotting there......... By the way, have you noticed that foreign/immigrant students consistently beat the local students year in year out in the University of Waterloo Chem 13 Exams? If, as you say, there is so much caring etc, why is that most Canadian students have been doing so poorly in their studies? I am writing such stuff for your edification, seeing that you are very poorly informed. Be grateful! You thought I harped on such matters because I have unresolved problems. That's a quack diagnosis emanating from someone who is a product of a highly suspect/corrupt education system!!! Face the truth and try to do something about it! You know, the truth shall make you free!
