No one seems to think a falling dollar can result in inflation with falling demand. It's a lesson that will have to be learned all over again.

Are you saying there is a period where the dollar fell and we had inflation with no wage pressure? I wasn't aware of that, when was it? We had some inflation of japanese goods in the 80s but their currency was rising against ours and there was no global sourcing.
