CRAWFORD, Tex. Dec. 26 -- Going from one secluded spot to another, President Bush today left the mountainous Camp David presidential retreat to complete a two-week vacation at his ranch in Texas.

Carrying one of his dogs, Barney, the president made the short walk from Air Force One to Marine One at the Waco, Tex., airport.

His other dog, Spot, scampered at the president's feet while first lady Laura Bush walked hand in hand with her mother, Jenna Welch. Marine One flew the Bush crew to his ranch.

Bush did not speak to reporters about the standoffs with Iraq or North Korea. Neither did the skeletal White House staff traveling with Bush aboard Air Force One.

The president and his family spent Christmas at Camp David. He plans to return to Washington the weekend after New Year's Day.
