Emblaze processor to power Telson phone Posted : 27 Dec 2002 eetasia.com Telson Electronic, a developer and manufacturer of cellular phones in Korea, has selected Emblaze Semiconductor's ER4521 application processor to enable the multimedia capabilities of its latest multimedia mobile phone. The phone is designed to run over a CDMA-1X Network. Mobile multimedia phone features of the phone include video stream, download, video mail, digital camera, local player, MIDI player, J2ME, MMS, and an Internet browser. The launch date of this new product is slated for Q3 of 2003. ----- This would seem to provide them with many of the functions missing if they don't use ASICs by Qualcomm.
