Patty bin Murray is up for re-election in 2004. There is such a strong dem. coalition in Washington that our representatives are nearly all dems. It's called West coast syndrome. Seattle and the surrounding counties are very blue. One bright spot.......My sister, who has been staunch dem for years has started to see the light, and has expressed great frustration at the party she has traditionally supported. She voted down a very important liberal Initiative last election and has voiced her displeasure in where the party is going. I believe this illustrates what is happening to traditional democrats nationally. They are finding more and more reasons for dissent. Can't say as I blame them...I just wonder why it took them so long? Sometimes loyalty is blind. M
