Well, it's 12 hours later and I still have not put an order in to sell my PAAS. I have been believing the "all the real silver is gone" story for a good many years now and believing that at least photography would to eventually boost the price. But so much of the silver is recovered from phot-processing--and I don't think much is needed anyway for color films--that the permanently heralded miracle of high silver prices never seems to occur. And then, as I mentioned, I did get my first digital camera for Christmas and I can see how much more versatile it is after taking my first fifteen snapshots.

But maybe there still is a place for the older technology and for silver. Gold has finally made a big move over the past year after seeming more and more dead for about 20 years. So I will keep my silver position a while longer.

I lost a lot of money on silver from 1988 to about 1994. During the whole time there were any number of analysts who could produce proof that big profits were right around the corner--somewhat like the tech stock gurus nowadays.
