I seem to remember hearing that palindrome long ago, but I had forgotten it. 333999 is a very interesting number. The world is full of 3s. I won't go through the many permutations using simple arithmetic, but I have had a certain fascination for the number 27 since I was very young. 27 is of course 3 cubed and the sum of its digits is 9. It is notable to mention that 12s are lurking here as well.
