I am sure that's what Bush had in mind when he uttered the words. The welfare of the poor oppressed Iranian people. Why don't the Palestinians deserve the same consideration, me wonders.

Why do you doubt Bush's sincerity with respect to these people who are under the control of the most brutal dictators in the world? There has certainly been nothing in his history to indicate a lack of sincerity.

In foreign diplomacy, he leads with innuendo and hints at allegations that are never substantiated.

Domestically, Mr. Lott experienced the real Mr. Bush. Mr. Lott was played like a cheap fiddle and then discarded when Bush got what he wanted.

And then he gives his idolizers [that's you] some cheap theatrics to keep them busy.

In the meantime, we have no foreign diplomacy; our allies question our tactics and back home, the economy sinks with the setting sun. Not to worry, there's always 2004.

No, I question his motives...he has used hyperbole and inaccuracy to promote his bellicose views. I consider him therefore capable of lying to pursue his goals...which are not humanitarian in nature, or we would be helping African people who are far worse off than Iranians or Iraqis.

There isn't a damned thing we can do about the plight of the Palestinians. They are going to fight with the Jews over that god forsaken strip of land for the rest of your life and mine. Period.

You're right...particularly if we don't bother trying.
