ShiloCat, have you ever listened to Rush Limbaugh on the radio? If so, how often and for what approximate duration of time?

I've found, over the years, most of the people who criticize those who listen to him, or despise him personally, have rarely if ever listened to the show.

For the record, I listen when I can driving in the car and such. He's one voice among many intelligent conservatives on the radio who both entertain and inform. My favorite talk show is Michael Medved, followed closely by Hugh Hewitt.

Listening to the radio is an active informative process of gathering information and learning, similar to reading. What I find interesting is how rare liberal talk radio is in America. Perhaps it's due to the fact that you receive immediate feedback and the audience becomes a part of the process of the show.

I doubt whether the major boob tube leftist commentators could stand up to the same back and forth live dialogue for three plus hours a day. Peter Jennings and Dan Rather have a tough enough time reading their teleprompters into recording machines. Thinking on their feet is definitely not their strong suit.
