Mikey, if billie did not try to destroy all competition with monopolistic trade practices msft would not have been found guilty. msft is in decline as their market is saturated and they have no new products and no new markets. And that is not causing a problem in the economy, only msft's economy.
As to what inpack that has on Wash. I have no idea.

win 2000 is still a pig. win xp, both my son's dumped it and went back to win2000. It's a pig but the computers don't crash.

The tech problem is there is more computing power available than anyone knows what to do with.

Anyone can have a home supercomputer of circa 1994. What universal applications require such computing power.. I just don't see them.

But all your other arguments about dem seem reasonable.

On the linux front. I have been using redhat 7.2 for several month's Redhat 8. is the latest. Anyway I register my use of a free download copy. With that one can use redhat's online upgrade/update service for free.

I run a task called up2date. My computer connect to redhat and then tells me all the updates and I can select all or none and my system upgrades automatically. It's very nice.

I still run my 1994 fvwm window manager fvwm with no difficulty. Also wine, the windows emulator make possible running many msft apps on my linux box.

Linux at it's core runs at least 10 times as well os msft whatever. But it's difficulty factor will restrict who attempts to use linux. The key is that the restrictions of ease of use and more complete simple functionality is another pressure eroding msft's markets for OS's

In the server market msft will really wither.

And interestingly, it is the dems that call for more taxes which forces more parents to work outside the home, which creates juvinile delinquents because there is not a parent home before or after school.

Then when crime increases due to a lack of supervision, dems call for more taxes to fight the crimes of the children left home alone while both parents work to pay the higher taxes democrats demand.

It is wrong.

Vicious circle.
