Hawk, watch out for self-fulfilling prophecy - the proponents are usually dead keen to ensure the prophecy comes true, with dead being the operative word. Self-analysis will usually lead to an acknowledgement that despite umpty trillions of experiments with living things, the existing pathetic DNA varieties are the outcome. The pinnacle of the primate line spends it's days gawping at tv, smoking dope, drinking booze and shouting at sports teams. Sure, a few invent CDMA or figure out some relativistic theories to make sense of the bewildering surroundings we inhabit, but even those great people are dim bulbs in a dark night. We've got a long way to go. Our hairy arms are a giveaway. Don't beat yourself up! Have a beer. And take it easy on the other monkeys in the cage. Mqurice
