There is so much water on the roads people really shouldn't be driving unless you have an SUV. My BMW can't get any traction. Fortunately recession means not many on the roads.

the first set of storms before the PG&E fellow got his 2 1/2 ton service truck stuck at the bottom of our hill , and then came up the next day and almost got the second truck stuck . The had us locked in , and said they could get to it the next day when I got the regional manager on the phone and explained their truck might not be there when they arrived ...that we were well with the means to tow it off (or push it off)
our mountain . Well after some small pause , they decided to deal with it that morning and up the priority . Very dangerous situation .

We have a sign now that warns all to stay off our road unless they have 4x4's and are residents...and aren't "flatlanders" , hehe.

* Luckily I have been driving this new Ford F350 4x4 diesel monster of late , has two sets of tires in the back and it eats mountains for breakfast, wet or dry :

the Ford dealers were very "pliant" in their attempts at
"negotiations" this time of year . It was a gift almost.<G>
