Kerry has stood up against subterfuge-corruption many times. He led investigations of BCCI Bank (included the then almost unknown Bin Lauden along with many ultra right-wing ex CIA types funding secret black ops), Iran-Contra (Bush Sr. was out of the loop, remember? gg) which traded arms to Iran and funded an illegal war which was also partly funded with cocaine money. Kerry defends us from villains within. Coming out against the Vietnam War after being one of its greatest heros was, at the time, the most moral thing to do. The longer the hopeless wrong-headed war went on the more needless deaths of US GI's. That was Kerry's concern, for the men. He saved many lives as a result. Just as he did in combat.
