My concern with software is that it may be more related to the Y2K cycle rather than a real uptick in busines by the software vendor's customers. Without real economic growth in the sectors who are buying software now, there is little chance for the business to be sustainable. And I am not convinced that the software vendors can see the forest for the trees as to the real drivers to the growth in business that they are seeing. In other words, BEAS posting 50 jobs on the 23rd may be even more damaging than if they had tried to make ends meet with their current staff.
