Right-wingers are a minority in this country. Typically about the same percentage as left-wingers. About 30% each. It's the 40% in the middle who decide the elections. McCain made just as many friends as enemies when he held Bush's feet to the fire. McCain was right, Bush was wrong. McCain stands for campaign finance reform and common sense. Bush is a soft money-created political reactionary. If McCain had had Bush's Enron money he would have given Bush a close run for it. Edwards is under attack from the right-wing but he didn't win for nothing and N. Carolina will support him, at least most of them. N. Carolina is about 35% black and about 20% liberal in case you didn't know. That's more than half the votes right there. Kerry will get many veterans votes and Edwards the favorite son wil bring in many more. Moderates are up for grabs and will decide the election as usual.
