John, I think most everyone would play anyway without Dave's prizes - just for the bragging rights. LOL

Further if he don't have time, then I'm sure Dave would not have an objection to the "scorekeeper" posting the rules that are manageable.

Have you talked to Jim in regards to CANSLIM meeting in Vegas again this year? I hope to compete in the senior olympics in VA in June (55-59 age group) if I can get my ducks in order. I'm not sure when the Vegas trip is - usually on Mother's day though.

Bruce

John, will be busy as I am dealing with alot right now so wanted to post my picks for the new years contest you mentioned if we end up having one......if not, no biggie....

I'll take 2 stocks, $5k on each, Long of course, as you mentioned.

DELL
CSCO

Happy New Year to all........actually, it may be an interesting contest as there is a good chance the winner will be the one with the least amount lost....Market could be ugly with everything going on....I was tempted to go with some Oil and Defense stocks, but will stick with my techies....but if market is ugly, and everybody is long, very well could end up with a winner that has a net loss, not net gain, except for those that may have picked some Oil and Defense stocks.....my gut is telling me to go with Oil and Defense, but since it's just a game, and not real money, I'll gamble a little with Dell and Csco

If the next contest keeps the old $5 minimum rule, would you consider a separate contest for stocks in the $1-5 range? Lots of attractive beaten down plays with good % gains on the horizon next quarter.

John,

If we have the contest, I'll take KLIC long and HMY long.
