Hi Dori,

Thanks for sharing that address. With our national government hijacked by a criminal conspiracy, it's become contingent upon us citizens to start to take the bull by the horns and do what we can on the local level. I'm leading a group of anti-war activists here locally, and I'm about to commence another step on the way to taking back our nation. Here's a growing movement to get City and County governments to refuse to cooperate with the destruction of our way of life by means of the USA Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Act and other police state enabling legislation:

efn.org

To date, about 30 municipalities, including Chicago, have signed resolutions to oppose the depredations on our liberties that are being imposed by the out-of-control Department of Injustice and other aspects of the police state apparatus.

What I find absolutely astonishing about the conservatives among the SI community is that while they claim to be in favor of smaller government, lower taxes, states rights, etc. they almost universally support the Bush team who are drastically increasing the size and power of the national state, are fiscally reckless and are trampling on states rights. It's a curious thing to me that the rhetoric is so far from reality for the Bush-loving conservatives.
