Clinton fired I believe 200 Cruise Missiles at Al Qaida. He couldn't get any closer without forward air bases we didn't have use of so had to fire from the Indian Ocean. Afghanistan is a land-locked safe haven unless you have Pakistan and Uzbekistan to attack from. Clinton didn't. He did what he could. Just missed. We all wish he had done more and that Bush had been on the ball on terrorism. Nine months in office or not, Bush was completely AWOL on terrorism. All he could talk about was Star Wars, a big defense contract for his cronies and otherwise useless experimental program. Pork-laden boondoggle really sure to piss off China and Russia.
