Enron: was becoming a big issue in July but then the Bushmeisters created their urgent war with Iraq, thereby removing corporate scandals from the front pages just as their political advisors planned. Dick Morris was interviewed in July and was asked what he would do if he were advising Bush now that his numbers were dropping to just above 50%. "Go for Iraqi blood" he cynically but truthfully replied. Sure enough, a week later Bush annoucned Saddam had to go right now, before the election, no ifs and or buts even if we invade unilaterally. Very clever don't you think? We can probably expoect the same prior to the 2004 elections. Far more cynical and slick than Clinton ever was, and highly unscrupulous. That said, I hope Kerry and others go after Bush to finally answer questions about Enron, Harken, going AWOL from the Air Guard, etc. Lieberman took Enron money and didn't serve in the military so he can't do it but Kerry can.
