To me this is bad news, I was expecting a chip release to come out at end of year from Intel. (my own guess) It looks like at least Two and one-half years away now.

This is not a direct quote read article from Red Herring dated June 17,2002.Articals name, The Search for Perfect Memory it will be under heading Mnemonic Devices.

Mr. Lai states The crystalline memory chip material must be heated to 600 degrees centigrade to trigger the change from one state to another. The key challenge is controlling the voltage going through the chip. At least three years from commercial markets.
