<<AT $450 gold, CBD will sell for at least $100 per oz if not $150.>>

I could live with that! Including Meliadine, at 5 million oz and 40 million shares, that would be about $20 (Can) per share. Not a bad risk/reward ratio at $3 per share currently.

Thanks Claude. I think we need to remind ourselves about just what multiples the PM shares will trade at in a POG bull market. We've been nickled and dimed for many years and sometimes it's hard to keep perspective. Resource-in-the-ground stocks such as CBD and MFL should be incredibly valuable in a major PM bull market.

Anyone following the Apollo Gold Story(APG-TSE)? Up 50c on Friday and up 20c so far today?

From what I can gather from their website, they're looking at 200k ozs in gold (&equivalent) for 2003. Restarted some low grade properties of a past producer; but had to do some stripping because the previous owners curtailed their stripping when the POG tanked.

WOW 75c (or 30%), could this be the start of something big? The got the Glimmer property near Matheson (Northern Ontario) for a song.

Interesting action today with both the US$ and the POG moving down. But crude oil also fell sharply towards the end of trading, so I think the POG is reflecting this -- added to the fact that we were due for a correction after an almost vertical move up for a couple of weeks. If the US$ keeps falling, the POG will take off again soon.

IMO the PM stocks held up very well today. With the POG down 1.5%, my own PF was only down 3.1% -- a leverage of about 2 to 1 on the downside. However, for the recent moves to the upside, the leverage has been 4 or 5 to 1. So this shows me that there is new stock buying coming in, even while the POG is correcting. At least I think that's what it means? (vbg)
