And good morning to you in Monaco! Back from the weekend, I see. The "Euro" point of view (BTW, the word "Euro" is rapidly taking over here, get used to it) is one that will piss off our right wing posters, while exciting our left wing ones. Your skill with the "needle" gets them outraged even faster.

Most of the weekend has been spent on North Korea. My viewpoint is that the thugs running it are not mad but desperate, and afraid of being overthown by their starving Military. The policy that Bush is adopting is one of waiting for them to fall. I think we will be dealing with a new group of thugs there by spring.

I have been reading "From Beirut to Jerusalem" by Freidman, written in '89. An excellent history of the early '80s in the tragic Country of Lebanon. I suspect you have lived there.

Debka reports are that Saddam is having a "Walled Suburb" built for himself in Libya.
