Hi Jake,
Just did some quick research on posting trends here on this thread.
Very Interesting!
Since last July when APCC was $10 there has been a total of 56 posts on the APCC thread. That's less than 10 posts a month for the stock. Over 20 of them have been by me defending the stock while it has increased in value about 70%.
I'm just guessing, but I bet most of these guys are short sellers tying to beat the price down.
I don't know why I am bothering to write this, I just wanted to get it off of my chest.
Bernie

American Power Conversion Expands Mobile Availability Product Offering with a Line of USB Handheld Chargers
Wednesday May 7, 10:49 am ET
Charge and Synchronize Many Brand-Name Handhelds via Notebook Computer's USB Port
biz.yahoo.com

WEST KINGSTON, R.I., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- American Power Conversion (APC) announced today a family of USB cables that provide handheld users worldwide a simple way to charge and synchronize over 25 popular handhelds via the USB port on their notebook computer. APC's USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cable eliminates the need to carry bulky power adapters and cradles while traveling, increasing the productivity of a mobile user.

"We are expanding our mobile offering to include products that are economical and offer a convenient method to power handheld devices without the hassle of carrying additional adapters or cradles," said Joe Loberti, general manager of APC's Consumer Networks Solutions Group. "The new APC USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cable provides a single-cable solution that allows you to transfer data from your laptop and charge your handheld through any USB port and is the ideal accessory incorporated with the new APC TravelPower Case(TM)."

The APC USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cables measure 5 feet (1.5 meters) in length and are designed to supply the power needed to charge the battery from a USB port. While the device is charging, the user is able to synchronize data between the handheld and the laptop, such as meeting notes, contacts, and e-mails, via one cable. The USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cable draws minimal power from the notebook's internal battery because of the low, five-volt current needed to charge the handheld. The cables are compatible with all PC and Mac laptops with a USB port and feature a USB connector on one end and the vendor-specific adapter on the other.

In addition to the new USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cable, APC has expanded its USB Mobile Phone Charger product offering to include compatibility with several additional mobile phone models. This product provides mobile phone users worldwide with the ability to charge their name brand phones via the USB port (please visit www.apc.com/products for compatibility). The APC USB Mobile Phone Chargers and USB Handheld Charger are fully compatible with APC's TravelPower Case (charging only).

Today's announcement further expands APC's mobile availability solutions which includes the APC TravelPower Case, a laptop carrying case that combines a single power adapter and helps to ensure mobile devices such as notebook computers, handhelds, and cellular phones are constantly charged and ready to use. APC also offers other mobile travel accessories, including the APC SurgeArrest® Notebook Pro surge protector family, and a complete line of co- branded APC by Kryptonite notebook security products.

The APC USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cables are currently available in North America through APC's website, as well as electronic retailers nationwide for handheld models made by Compaq®, Palm®, Handspring®, and Sony® with several additional compatible models to come. The new USB Handheld Charger and Sync Cable will carry an estimated resale price of $19.99. The APC USB Mobile Phone Chargers are currently available and carry an estimated resale price of $14.99.
