Good Morning Bob,

Can someone please explain why S&P deems it correct to assign 5 Stars to CSCO and 1 Star to AMAT? Both have similar valuations and both are bottoming out. If fact, true barriers to entry are much higher for AMAT. I really do not care what any brokerage house or company(S&P) thinks; I merely want to know if I am missing something here.

Brian

OT Great book to read about the technology boom of the mid '90's is Michael Lewis' The New New Thing. Much of the story and more is probably familiar to Cary, Kirk and Gottfried since they live there but might be interesting to them nonetheless. Jim Clark (Silicon Graphics, Netscape, etc) is at the center but it captures the whole mindscape of the Valley pretty well. I worked for Amdahl, a Sunnyvalle company, in the midwest at the time and thought I knew what was going on. Guess again. Btw Lewis is an excellent writer with a good sense of humor (also wrote Liars Poker).
