"did not talk like human beings".

Hi Nadine,
Its unfortunate thay younger South Koreans are very naive as to the direct threat. NK was responsible for the death of millions of Koreans on both sides during the Korean War. The destruction of Seoul(postioned artillery could do it today) would mean little to them in a second war. The Anti-American tune now being sung in the South would quickly change if that occurred. Chinese need to act like a superpower now and step up to the plate and control this odd duck. Future Asian prosperity is on the line and only the chinese and US can control this sickness and that will call for an unusual alliance to stop the North without resort to force and since force is all they understand this will not be an easy task. mike

ironically, given certain people's reluctance to opine about Korea in this forum, it appears that they might be discussing such matters (along with Iraq, etc.) on Squawkbox tomorrow morning... guess that means that now they'll have to actually start doing some reading about all this crap, so as not to look too stupid or tongue-tied...
