KT, of organized crime ... <g> That cozy relationship was part of the the first year, which by most accounts was by far the best. We're on time-delay up here, so I've only seen the first two seasons, and the second was definitely weak by comparison. I imagine by now they may be turning into a parody of themselves. My reco would be to rent the first three episodes of year 1. If they don't grab you, the show's definitely not for you ...
